First, you’ll go on a thrilling 40-minute snowmobile ride (20 minutes each way). New to snowmobiling? No worries! Our expert guides will provide all the necessary instructions. 

Afterward, you will visit the world’s largest ice tunnel, located high on Langjökull glacier. Explore the tunnels for an hour, including a visit to the unique built-in chapel—an unparalleled sight. Don’t miss out on this chance to explore Iceland’s remarkable glaciers in and out!

  1. The rate is per person and is based on 2 persons sharing a snowmobile.
  2. Single-rider supplements can only be booked on-site, depending on availability.
  3. Please note that the duration of the tour may be longer than scheduled due to conditions on the glacier.
  4. Kindly be aware that the ice tunnel's appearance may vary due to ongoing adjustments.
  5. Participants must be 17 years or older with a valid driver's license.

Please note that this tour departs from Húsafell or Klaki at the edge of Langjökull Glacier. You can either drive there yourself or choose a pickup from Reykjavik if that’s more convenient.

  1. Snowmobile ride on Langjokull glacier, approx. 25 - 30 min.
  2. Experienced English-speaking guide during the snowmobile ride.
  3. Transportation to and from the base camp to the glacier's snowline.
  4. Necessary snowmobile equipment (helmet, overall suit, balaclava/buff, mask, and gloves).

IMPORTANT: WARM CLOTHING – even in summer – and a driver’s license.

  1. Waterproof shoes and warm socks. Because cold toes just take away all the fun!
  2. Base and mid-layer clothing.
  3. Waterproof warm coat.
  4. Hat & gloves - easy to take off.
  5. Sunglasses - the sunlight on the glacier can be exceptionally bright.

From Klaki base camp: 10:30 am and 1 pm

A valid driver’s license is required to operate a snowmobile. The number of guests without licenses cannot exceed those with licenses. The minimum age for joining this tour as a passenger is 8 years.

***Please note that Road 550 leading to Húsafell from Þingvellir National Park is an F-Road. It is CLOSED from October until June and is suitable ONLY for 4×4 cars when open.***

***Please take Road 1 towards Borgarnes and Roads 50 and 518 to Húsafell.***
